I was watching a segment on the Ukraine crisis and how the people of Mariupol are afraid of the separatists. They showed a street scene with comments along the lines of "it's quiet now, but for how long?" and a stretched Aventador rolled past in the background. The googles couldn't find a pic of the exact car, but came across this video of a rendering that is pretty close to what I saw. The thing is that it didn't look like the usual stretched Panther car with a Lambo-style front and back. As a car nerd you can usually dismiss these fakes at a very quick glance. It looked like the real deal, an Aventador cut in half with a new segment in the middle. Weird! Who would do something like that to an Italian supercar?

It's amazing how the "separatists" claim they aren't supplied and reinforced by the Russians, yet also bring out stretched cars with Lambo doors. Stay consistent to your story, people.

No, it makes sense because the Lambo Limo was separated during the build process.

Given that the Aventador is a pure carbon composite frame... wouldn't it make more sense if it was a custom frame with Aventador bodywork over top? I can't imagine many companies can cut the car in half and "stitch" the carbon back together.

You are probably right. Whichever way, I am pretty sure that a real Aventador was hurt in the making of it.

That, I have no doubt of.
